Your Cathay Bank debit card purchases are deducted directly from your checking account. View your transactions using Cathay Online Banking or on your monthly checking account statement. You can access your checking account statement and debit card activity via Cathay Online Banking at no additional charge.
You can choose non-PIN purchases and sign for transactions like a credit card anywhere VISA is accepted including grocery stores, restaurants and gas stations.
Your debit card is also your ATM card, with easy PIN access to Cathay Bank ATMs and other ATMs displaying any of the network logos shown on the back of the card. For surcharge-free access, use your card at a Cathay Bank ATM or any designated surcharge-free ATM. You can also use your PIN when making purchases at merchants.
Cathay Bank Surcharge-Free Money Back Guarantee: Surcharge-free or we will refund any fees you are charged. If you are making a transaction at a designated surcharge-fee ATM and the surcharge screen appears during your transaction, press “yes” to accept the surcharge and proceed with your withdrawal. You will not be charged the surcharge.
Some locations may have more than one ATM; not all may participate in the surcharge-free network. Please make sure to check the ATM you are using for the designated surcharge-free network logo to ensure it is the correct one.
